Apocryphal Theatre would like to invite you to see us play for the first time at The People Show! Please come along to see our latest experiments, following on a residency in April at Rose Bruford College, we have been working with what is sacred, what is celebrity and what part of ourselves do we find in each of these? We are working from the twin poles of William James' Varieties of Religious Experience and the contemporary worship of the celebrity, asking ourselves were saints the celebrities of religion? Do celebrities have a certain demi-god status? How does this affect how we see, feel, experience, express the sacred or celebrity now and how do they coexist inside us?
Please do join us and stay around afterward to tell us what you experience during the evening and ask us any questions you may have whilst enjoying a drink with us during this festive season - to benefit the two good causes of Apocryphal Theatre and The People Show (who have generously hosted the lab this season).
The all-singing, all-dancing crew for this event are: Bill Aitchison, Danielle Antha, Julia Lee Barclay, Alison Blunt, Zoe Bouras, Kati Francis, Birthe Jorgensen, Maria Kapsali, Steve Potter, Karla Ptacek.

Dear Friends and Colleagues,
Please join Apocryphal Theatre Lab for our upcoming lab showing of our newest experiments in working with the sacred and celebrity. It's at The People Show, which is an amazing theatre in Bethnal Green. As it's a pay what you can event, it won't cost you more than you can afford so we'd love to have you come along, have a drink with us and get your feedback. Please do RSVP if interested as there is limited seating and it's a one-off event...and of course please forward this invite on to those who may be interested.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
Julia
